Junior Achievement of Angelina County has earned the group’s highest honor, the “J-A USA Five Star Award,” on Thursday at the organization’s leadership conference in Saint Louis, Missouri. The East Texas chapter received special recognition for doubling their reach across Angelina County, helping over 5,000 students.
“The office reached more than 5,000 students and 258 classrooms last year. That’s more than double from the last year. Awesome work East Texas,” said the presenters at the award’s banquet on Thursday night.
Michelle Harlow Green, Executive Director of Junior Achievement of Angelina County, was on hand to accept the award in St. Louis. Green was also honored at the ceremony. She was one of four to receive the group’s ‘Rising Star’ award for her exceptional leadership qualities exhibited in East Texas.
